The Story of Farmhouse Style

While Kim Pawelski's journey into the Farmhouse Style business began with her passion for decorating and making her home cozy, it was her handmade wood signs that kickstarted her career. In 2016, she began making these signs, which were loved by her family and friends. Seeing the potential in her work, she opened an Etsy shop to sell her creations, which quickly gained popularity.

In 2017, Kim took her business to the next level and opened a store in downtown Springboro, Ohio. She used this space to sell not only her wood signs but also a variety of farmhouse-style items such as furniture, antiques, and decor. This store became her happy place, allowing her to share her passion for interior design with others.

Kim also became an Annie Sloan stockist when she opened her store in Springboro in 2017. She discovered a love for turning antique and vintage furniture finds into beautiful, unique pieces using Annie Sloan's chalk paint.

As an Annie Sloan stockist, Kim was able to offer her customers a wide selection of paint colors and products, as well as expert advice on how to use them. She used her own furniture makeovers as examples to inspire her customers and showcase the potential of Annie Sloan's paint.

Kim's passion for upcycling furniture and giving it new life with chalk paint is just one more way that she brings her love of cozy, welcoming spaces to her business. By offering a range of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, she helps her customers create homes that reflect their own personal style and taste.

In 2019, Kim had the opportunity to open another location in downtown Waynesville, Ohio. While she initially had two stores, she ultimately made the tough decision to close the Springboro store at the end of 2019 and focus solely on the Waynesville store.

Throughout her journey, Kim has always focused on her customers' needs and preferences, introducing new and fresh items to her store regularly. Her passion for creating a cozy and welcoming home environment is evident in everything she does. Kim and her husband, John, have been been married for 40 wonderful years and have raised 9 children and have 17 grandchildren. Kim is no stranger to creating a comfortable and inviting home, and she brings this same warmth and charm to Farmhouse Style.
